Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her career began as an actor in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). She later played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and played a supporting role in the short-lived series The Ex List. She starred as a young Moira O'Hara on the first season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices several characters from Family Guy's animated comedy series. Since 2019she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. They moved around for one year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she began to take an interest in photography, acting and singing. When she turned 15, she moved with her mom back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career
